Title: Table of Strength Properties of Various Woods
Post by: footfootfoot on September 12, 2011, 02:47:21 pm
Hi, I'm new here and I have enjoyed a lot of what I have read. I thought I'd share this table from one of my woodworking books. It lists a number of species of hard and soft woods readily available in the U.S.  The Tension and Compression values that are most important to a Bowyer would be the values perpendicular to the grain.

I hope you find it useful.

Welcome to PA, foot3. This chart is a nice way to get your foot(  ::) ) in the door.
