I hope y'all don't mind me jumping in with a "what the heck......"
I suppose this one's odd (?) ...was to me when I discovered it.
I find it quite useful for various [bow] shaping tasks.
what specifically is it used for ?? or what's it called ??
for size reference it's on a sheet of sandpaper, takes up nearly the whole length.

it doesn't really have a handle- can be used while holding the flat or the round end, though it would be uncomfortable if you have soft girly hands ;D.
will see if anyone else wants to guess before I tell what it's called/ used for.

redneck floss ;D

Seems like the Klingons on Star Trek used to carry a bunch of those in thier belts to throw and impale one another with :)

Is it a rasp for wood carving? That's my guess but I wouldn't have an official name for it. Pat

it's a keyway rasp. I reckon it's for working on doors, for inletting locksets or some such....
I use it for rough shaping bow handles and the like...
