I apology if some of you already saw this bow, it is old and posted on some other places before...
It is snaky ash. It is natural deflex-reflex with one limb twisted for about 30 degrees.I saved that natural shape without correcting. It is 65 ntn, 2" wide right after handle and 1/2" at nocks. Ends of the limbs are narrow but stiff, little like some Holmy, but only last 5 inches. I reduced mass of the nocks as much as I could by cutting off sufficient wood at the upper end of the nock. Because my friend Pathfinder and I are preparing for Iron Hill hog hunt in the forest where I live I made this bow 80# at 27" to be ready for the hogs. He also helped me to choose design for the bow. I called it Salamander. Legendary fire lizard with black-yellow skin that remains the danger...

Man... that's GORGEOUS!!!

The Salamander ROCKS Druid! Looking at it with that paint job you'd think it would never be able to hide or blend in the environment but when you stand back with it in the dappled light it just disappears into the shadows. VERY cool...but 80#? I'd have a hernia >:D

Very nice looking bow and good pictures!

Very Nice Bow Druid.
The paint looks great.
You got the yellow spot on. :)
Shouldn't have any trouble sticking some Hogs with this bow.

Thank you people!
I just can not remember exactly what kind of paint was used, it was few years ago and I do not want to make mistake with that information..

Very neat bow,I like it,good job. 80# ,well, you should'nt have any trouble with penetration with a good heavy arrow, and a razor sharp head. 8) God Bless

Seen it at PP and saved pics on my computer; nice to see it here again!

Oh man I like that, it is wicked looking!

I've seen this before and downloaded the pictures to look at for inspiration. I never get tired of looking at this bow. Almost like a work of art. I like it so much I may have to borrow the pattern and color with all credits to Druid of course. Druid, how do you glue those nocks on? If I tried on like that it would pop off. I have to lash them on and soak the lashing with CA glue and then they work. I like the simplicity and slickness with no lashing.

Cool!!! Great work as always, love your stuff ;)

Awesome!
-
Very cool.

That's a mean looking STICK !!!

I am glad you like it! :D
Before I was gluing nocks as you can see and didnt't have any problems. For safety now I am gluing them at steeper angle, both seemed to work fine.
