Title: Cane arrows question
Post by: GooseGossett on August 12, 2011, 10:34:32 pm
I've been searching and I'm sure it has been asked before but do you put wider or narrower side of the cane on the business end of the arrow?  I think it was thick the last time I remember but I'm not saying much for my memory.  Thanks.

Goose, you get better arrow flight with a weight forward shaft. Historically cane and hardwood shoot arrows have been used with both the big end and the small end forward but IMO I get better arrow flight with weight forward arrows.

i'm with Pat on this one.i use big end forward.some native americans used them little end forward because that was the end pointed towards the sky.it was sort of ceramonial to them.
