I just received a box of English flint from a friend over there and am dying to get knapping. I would be delighted if i can make a couple heads to hunt with this fall.
Problem is I need tools, and I don't realy know what I need to make them. Can someone help me with photo's of what I will need to start and a basic description on how to make them. Nothing fancy, just the basic tools needed to craft a suitable flint head.
Thanks
Pete

Flintknapping tools.com has all the tools you need, or, do it Jamie style, a palm size, rock.

That's all you need to start. Hammerstone, abraders, broom handle and copper wire for your ishi and flaker, and some kind of hand pad.

Really it is cheap and most of the stuff you can get from around your house.

Thanks, I think I can come up with enough from the garage to "get crackin". :)
