Title: In my area (Nashville)
Post by: Calendargirl on June 26, 2007, 05:23:36 pm
I have a friend gutting a house.  She just cut down a cedar and has several 5-6' cedar logs sitting in her front yard.  She is going to have someone haul them off and burn them unless someone else wants them.  If you are interested in picking them up send me a p.m.  She is having them hauled off Saturday.  :D  Justin, Pat said you might drive down and come get them... ;D

Seal the ends and put them in the shed in your back yard.  Ill pick them up next year when I come to Pappy's.  ;D Justin

You wood mongrels crack me up!  Welch2 is at my house right now getting the trees, Justin left... and then off to Suzanne's house she is gutting (the one who helped right the article about Pappy's event) to get the cedar in her yard... :)  a bunch of mongrels! ;D  I am relieved the trees left are 120" and one is 13" in diameter...I couldn't do anything with it....except maybe get GregB to teach me how to field dress it! ;)

We're mongers, not mongrels.  "Purveyors of a commodity", not "of mixed or indeterminate ancestry".

OK, maybe both.

Piece of cake...don't even have to get your hands bloody. Might acquire a few splinters though if you're not careful! ;)

GregB maybe you will have a chance to show off those skills.  Ralph couldn't get two of the logs...too big.   ;D  He sealed them hope they will come back and get them. :)

Pappy's got cedar big enough to work for a one piece keel of a clipper ship! ;D

I bet if Manny offered up a free guava log, Justin would think of a way to drive his truck over and pick it up! ;D
