8) Going Elk hunting with bow this year from horseback,Needed a new bow-case and quiver that i could use from horse. Heres what i came up with. Brain tanned leather ( Thanks Bro ) hand stitched with sinew. Tried it on horse very effective and surprisingly quiet. What Y-all think.

Looks great Katt. Still working on a plan to come up and visit in September. Sure wish I'd spent some time on horses, that is sounding better and better.

I like that bow a lot.
Is there any chance of a picture of the back or belly profile? Would like to have a go at a shortie but i am unsure of the best profile.
Thanks., and again nice bow.
-
very cool Katt :D I would like to see a front profile of the bow. I haven't made a stiff handled bow lately and your design is just what the Dr. ordered. I like to hunt off a big jinny mule that is about 15-16 hands. every bow hunter should try it at least once.

I plan to, believe me. Getting this old body in shape is the hard part. I'm thinkin I'll have to take extra time and beg Katt to teach an old man to ride a horse. ;)

Getting this old body in shape is the hard part.
That's the easy part George. I've seen you like your lazy boy and all you gotta do is set something hard on it and sit in it for a long period of time to break in your saddle a##
cus its gonna be sore when ya step off the horse and your gonna walk like ya got something stuck up there. Good luck
Katt. I sure hope you can take an elk off a horse. Nice set up. Do you have a planned strategy?
-
Thats a dandy! All together sweet setup, I hope you get one down Katt!

Sounds great Katt, hope it works out that way. I have a ground blind too I could bring, but I'd hate to carry it a long ways uphill. :P
