Title: In need of a good Stave Press

I need a good stave press if any one has one I have much to trade just let me know what you are looking for.

I believe they are fairly new, so there shouldn't be many used ones out there ???

I think they were around $120.00 and they are new to the self bow making hoby.

Hey bownut. Send Lee Slikkers a pm about his. He actually made one up that's better than the one s for sale. I've seen it in person. Get the specs from him. Its frigging awesome. The main post is on a locking bearing hitch so the press can be tilted and rotated around in a lot of different directions. And it locks off solid to. It sweet.

I would just spend a bit more money and get a jaw horse from rockwell if you make anything else other than bows, unless you are just supporting a cause.

  I have one of those we made form a peice of 6 inch tubeing 3,1 one for me and 2 freinds Boy it's like water in a bottle. We called the ones we made vices. Matter offact I GOT A PHONE CALL FROM MY FRIEND 7 OR 8 MONTHS AGO AND TOLD ME TO CHECK OUT THE PA MAG THAT MONTH. He said you won't beleive it there it was. But they are nice for outside. MY FRIEND SAID BOY I MISSED THE WATER THING TO. HIND SIGHTS 20-20.

 Me too. Mine is made from 4" square tubing and welded on top of a Drill Rod buried in the ground. ::)
