Title: New Mahog Obsidian Knife
Post by: snakeman on July 10, 2011, 05:55:47 pm
Finished this one up this weekend.  6" Mahogany Obsidian Blade from a slab and antler, pine pitch, and sinew for the handle.  My buddy Josh made the stand and took the pics.  Thanks for looking!

That's a nice looking knife, are you thinking about getting some blood on it this fall?  That looks like it needs to to clean a deer.  Bill

Very nice all the way around. Obsidian doesn't stand a chance in my ham hands.

Thanks for all the comments,I would have replied sooner but I don't have a computer and I can only post on weekends when I'm over here at Josh's house.I'll have to make another one to take hunting this year,I don't have that one anymore.I do have another slab just like that one,but I want to make my hunting knife out of flint,I think I would end up breaking a obsidian one.
