So I'm not even gonna try :D
Back still hurts and wrist is sore now so I'm done...until tomorrow.
First is another big Pine tree.
Then a Scottsbluff, followed by a little coral piney

Holy crap! It's amazing what some of you guys can do with rocks! I can't imagine the time you put in to be able to do that. From the looks of it, some of the world's best knappers reside right here on this forum.
-
Well I'm flattered (picture me blushing) ;D
I'm not gifted though...I just have good vision and don't care if it takes me 4 hours to make a 3" long point.
-
Great stuff! That flaking on the pine trees is amazing.
-
Shannon those are well wow! Can you try to explain how you are doing the edge on the christmas tree. I see that pattern when I am working but I have a delta on the edge how do you do it with out the delta. Also is that burlington on the first stone?
-
It is a gift, that you have slickfoot, but you do have tons of talent. Some of the best chippin I have ever seen. That scotty is above killer!(whatever that level is) ;)

If I space my flakes pretty close I don't have a delta to deal with. If they're farther apart and leave a delta between them, I just carefully flake them off while trying to keep the point of the serration in line with the ridge. That rock is Buffalo River Chert from SW Tennessee.
Tim, I pushed myself on that Scotty. Not with the flake pattern but with the thinning. It's like a cracker!
-
Ok so I keep them close now I see flake scares on both side. How ?
-
Awesome points!
If we had a level or grade such as "Master Knapper" you would be at the top.
-
Holy crap! I like 'em all ... but that scottsbluff is truely awesome!
-
Beautiful work Shanon. :)
