This is my second bow. Made from a 3" by 1" hickory board 58" tip to tip and 56" bottom of pin nock/bpn. It is 2 1/4" at the fades with a straight line taper to 1/4" nocks. Handle is 1".Bow is 1/2" thick out of the risers and tapers to 7/16" at bottom of pins. I stopped at 67# originally but after 20-30 arrows came to my senses and took it down to 59# @25". It will cast a 500 gr arrow about 160 yds. I only have room to lay out 150 yds and its woods after that. In the pic's the tiller looks different than in the shop but am currently "shooting it in" so maybe some tweaking will be done later.
Handle is hemp wrapped over leather(still smell the mule sweat) and rest is leather also. Dye is Rits.(http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h418/EarlLane/001.jpg)(http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h418/EarlLane/014.jpg)(http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h418/EarlLane/019.jpg)<a href="http://s1108.photobucket.com/albums/h418/EarlLane/?action=view&current=016-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h418/EarlLane/016-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Thanks for looking.
