Sorry I don't know how to post the pictures to the website. Bow is 59" nock to nock, 55lbs at 28 inches. the bow is extremely fast and has no handshock. Carpskin from Timo on back, tip overlays are curly maple and snakewood. One layer of Deer sinew, Oryx horn on belly. Horn and sinew both stop eight inches from tips. Thanks for looking.

here its not all of them but might help
excellent work
-
My gosh!! Neat. I'm impressed with that horn/carp skin combo. That is attractive. I imagine it really spits em out too.
-
Thanks for posting the pics Ken.
-
how did you prep/apply the horns?
-
WOW! looks like alot of work went into that one. really nice job.
-
I've been thinking about a bow just like this for a couple of years now but never attempted it.
You did a very nice job with this bow! 8)

Horn was cut in half, flattened with heat the put thru a drum sander to get to about 3/16th of and inch. The bow started as a selfbow, but was my first try at this design I missed weight by 15 pounds, so I decided to try to bring it up to weight. One layer of sinew and the horn brought weight up 25 pounds. Recently retillered to 55lbs.

I did apply the horn with Smooth On.
-
AWESOME......that pretty much sums it up.
-
Very nice!!!
-
That'll do ;D Very nice, you could pike it back to 65# and send er on up here to Canada ;)
Seriously, you could have gone a bunch shorter with the horn and sinew combo, not that it is too long, but think of the possibilities.(light bulb above the head smiley needed here)
Very nice work, I love the contrast.
