Here's where I am with the Trade Bow. .
Bamboo backed yellowheart. Approximate number atm (need to do some final measuring) 48#@ 28" and 60" (57" ntn).
If it were one I was keeping for myself, then I'd be finished. Took a bit of set but shoots very well with absolutely minimal handshock; however, as the bow is going to someone else I was wondering what you guys thought about this as a finished product. I don't know anymore about the recipient than what were were all provided, so I was wondering if you think I should stop here or add a handle/riser or something. I kind of like it as is, looking all primitive and such, but would like some opinions if it's okay with y'all.
I'll leave the full draw and final pics to the recipient.

Looks nice to me. I'd be proud if it was coming to me.

I would definately shoot the hell out of that thing as it is :)

I like it too. The most beautiful part of a bow is the bow itself. Like a beautiful woman with a bunch of expensive cloths and a thousand layers of makeup. Why all the make up covering it all up? And for that matter, why all the clothes? lol ;D

Send it! that is a nice bow, string grooves are done really well and the bamboo dye job is sweet. loooks like you did good.
-
I really like it! I agree with others it looks great as is to me, those tips are thin! nice

That bow is great just as it is.....dont have a clue why you'd want to add anything.

I agree with what everyone else has said...that bow looks "finished" enough to me. No full draw tiller pics? The nocks are nice!
-
@Lee: Here ya go.
-
nice tiller ;D well done
-
great tiller and dye job, Bub
-
Wow, I bet you could photoshop a circle to the inside of that tiller and it would show a perfect arc...SWEET work!
-

Hmmm, just went back and re-read the bows "stats" - 48# @ 28"...that sounds like ME ;D Sure hope/wish/pray that Bow is headed to Michigan! If not, someone else is gonna be REAL happy when it arrives on the door step.
(never mind...just went back to the list of participants and noticed there are 25+ folks in that same draw length and # range :-\)
;D ;D ;D

Thanks to all for the wonderful comments. I'm going to wrap it up and ship it out as is. Hopefully the recipient will appreciate it as much as you all have. Thanks again!
@Lee: :) Yeah seemed like the length and # were the most frequent numbers, so I didn't think I'd be giving too much away by posting them.

stop ,step away from the bow, that is a travisy, tips are ugly, bow is just plain ugly and the tiller is a mile off. send to me right away and i will dispose of it properly. >:D

Very nice, I love the color.
Only thing that looks scary to me is the shelf looks to be cut into the side of a bendy handle......maybe I am seeing it wrong.
Darcy :)
-
@DEllis: I think I see what you mean about the shelf in the bendy handle from the pic and I have a feeling it is more of an issue with the angle I took the pic that exaggerated that appearance. I put the bow through its paces and it is performing very well, but in the end we'll leave the final critique to the intended victim. >:D
...Did I say victim? I meant target whom was assigned to me for assassina...er...that is...um..."trade recipient." O:)
-
Gotcha............may the vic.......I mean recipient rest in pea.........I mean shoot it in good health ;D
Seriously, that is a nice looking bow.
Darcy :)
-
Looks awesome to me!!
-
Looks great someone is going to be happy :)
-
Dead on with the tiller, great Job!!
-
I would stitch on a simple buckskin wrap as a grip. It gives it the "finished" appearance. Perhaps the reason you are asking the forum is because you, yourself feel that it needs something; that it isn't quite done? Very nice bow. Great tiller. I like your dye job on the bamboo.

Send it. I'll PM you my address ;D
