Title: Looking some an IPE stave and bamboo backing.

I'm currently looking for an IPE stave, about 1" wide 3/4" thick and around 68" long. I would also like to get a sanded bamboo backing strip. I'm not picky about the boo but would prefer black or brown in color and the width and length of the IPE. I have a nice Osage stave that is 2" wide 2" thick and 72" long. I also have turkey wing feathers and can post pics if anyone is interested. Thank you... Bill

Good luck finding a stave. My wife will kill me if I cut down the 40' tree in my front yard. And as far as being picky on the boo, not much of it comes in brown or black unless somebody stained it. ???

I didn't realize the brown boo would be a problem. Over the years I've gotten quite a bit of it from Rich Saffold.

Are you looking for a stave or a board? Are you looking for the boo to be preped and ready to glue? Or can the boo be say 1.5" and you finish sanding to the thickness?

A 1" wide board by 3/4" thick  and 68 long will do just fine. As for the boo I really have no way to prep it and no belt sander. If I  can get a piece 1" wide 68 long and sanded flat that would be great. Might be asking alot though.
