Hey fellas,
Larry Watkins, (guy who cuts all my wood) has a big stash of fully quarter sawn Eastern Red Cedar. It's 3/4 to 1/2 inch thick, straight as a taught string, been cured since the 70's. It came from hand sawn 10" house siding.
The wood is really tight grained, no knots, and the grain runs dead nutts down the length of the stick. Here's some pics one of a board end...and some of an arrow I'm making from the wood to show the grain etc.
If any of ya are interested, please get ahold of me, so I can give you Larry's telephone number....ya can work out your own trade with him.
