68 inches. 48 lbs. @ 28 inches. Used bone for the overlays. 14 coats of Truoil. Bow came out nice and shoots great!

Looks beautiful from this angle. What wood? Of course we all will wait paitiently for the full draw pic............or maybe not so patiently ;D

Osage Darcy. I wish these pictures showed the depth of the finish, it shines like glass. I usually have mixed feelings about the look of snake skins but this bow just begged for them. Thank you all for looking.
-
Looks like you really had fun with that! I really like the arrow pass, looks like stone
-
OK osage it is ;D If I had waited a minute to see the next pics I'd have seen that.
Looks real good, Maybe could be bending a hair more just past mid limb, but it is tough to read the tiller on snakey bows from a photo, so I may be wrong.
The snakeskins and overall finish look great.........14 coats of tru oil, you are a patient fella ;D
Darcy :)

osage and snake skins, always a nice pair. that is a truly nice bow. great job on all of it... really envy you with that huge track of land to launch some arrows into, looks like a nice place for archery.
-
That is a really nice bow, great tiller, beautiful finish! Can't wait to see your next one, you sure got some talent!

" Maybe could be bending a hair more just past mid limb"
Your probably right Darcy, I'm pretty new to this. I did leave the last 8" or so stiff so I'm sure that adds to the effect.
-
Considering the wood choice and length at this draw weight, you could probably have whip ended it a bit and picked up a bit of speed, and less shock, but no matter, it looks great and probably shoots a heavy arrow quite fast, and I agree the snakey limbs were screaming for skins ;D
Again nice job, even for the 40th bow it's great........for number 4 it's awesome 8)

Very nice bow...always been partial to the snakey osage myself! Fine job!

Exceptional bow and only your fourth? You have some great skills as a bowyer already. Well done
-
Yes, very nice bow. Good work. I was still breaking them on my 4th (or turning out 25 pounders).
