Title: Rich Rousseau, Fishing Lure Book Author
Post by: Dane on March 26, 2011, 10:57:42 pm
Ealier today, I was in Lowes today looking for something, and a book called Making Wooden Fishing Lueres: Carving and Painting Techniques that Really Catch Fish caught my eye. Glanced at it, looked great, so I picked it up.

I picked it up this evening, and the picture of the author looked very, very familiar. I then noticed it was written by our own Rich!

I do recommed this book to anyone. I don't fish, but am facinated by fishing gear, lures, rods, and flys. They are truly folk art in every sense of the word. Rich obviously makes lures as excellent as his bows, and the style of writing is him, too.

I can't post a link to Amazon, but if you see the book, get it, or order it from an online book store. Just his various painting techniques are worth getting this book for.

Rich, I hope you don't mind my posting about your work.

That Rich is a talented and generous man for sure. It would be a good read for the color and finish techniques alone as it would also apply to bows.
