Title: scrap bow

as stated made from scrap beefwood with white oak backin . 62 inches tip to tip 1 inch wide , d belly 47 lbs at 28 inches . pardon the white legs been too cold for shorts till now

Looks really good Ken. color contrast is cool, the beefwood makes the white oak backing pop. The belly looks semi-rounded?  btw do you ever do anything else but churn out bows? jeesh makes me feel like a slacker. :) good job

Really nice Ken. Tiller looks spot-on. I agree with Eric, like the wood combo.

Nice job Ken, Is this the only bow you have used white oak for backing or have you built others ? I ask , wondering is white oak a good backing material ? Thanks Denny

thanks Cam the beefwood was a scrap piece left over with nail holes in it
thanks Denny , ive used it on 6 bows so far, its a great backing only surpassed by hickory in my opinion

thanks Pete, its Brazillian redwood , massaranduba, south america is where its from Pete great stuff dense as Ipe but stinks when you sand it

Another nice entry for Feb. Backed Bow of the Month Ken!  Doesn't look like a scrap bow to me.  :)

Sweet, I like the way the grip and binding colour sort of matches the colour/contrast of the wood. Nice bow, I like the rounded belly gives it a hint of ELB meet AFB...

Nice bow ken. Good thing yo weren't makin bows in the old days or Bear archery would have had some feirce competion.

I would say that is pretty nice for scrap.  Great tiller and you are the bow making man.  You sure do spit them out.
