Title: New workshop/ tillering tree video
Post by: Jesse on February 12, 2011, 11:39:18 pm
I've been building this shop for bow building all winter. Its really nice to have extra room to work. Its not done yet but its as done as its gonna be for a while :). Now I just need to work on some bows again. It was fun to build. Me and my Dad did it together so that was great. There was a few "firsts" for me on this project like installing the heater, gas lines, etc.  The framing, wiring, etc. was all stuff I had done before but not for a living so it took me some time :)  Still cant believe I get to work in here instead of the corner of my basement. I'm pretty happy to say the least.  Here is a video I made showing where I'm at so far. I really like the new tillering set up I came up with. Might have to patent this one :D  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9oNTeOdPA0

Man, you need to get the new off that shop. Get some shavings and saw dust on the floor, tools all over the work bench, clamps wadded in a knot on the floor, you know, make it comfortable!  ;)
Very nice shop Jesse. Nice bright space with a big window.  8)  Can't wait to see what comes out of that shop.  8)

:D :DPat-- I am a slob so that shop would be a wreck in no time if it where not for the fact that I share it with my Dad so I have to keep it looking good :)  I dont think its possible to keep it at this level of "new" for long though ;D

Great looking shop Jesse. You might want to loosen the bolts holding the air compressor down to the floor come times the vibration will cause the legs to crack where they are welded into the tank especially if one leg is tweaked a tiny bit.Ron

Jesse, a beautiful shop. I am a bit envious here. My current workspace is half a 1 car garage. :) I think of it as intimate, like a bistro or a foxhole.

Satan and the other animals are very cool, too.

Thanks for sharing the video. Very inspiring.

Ya, if envy is a sin, I think I need to go to confession... >:D

Thanks guys. I am very blessed to have the new shop. Thanks for the advice Ron. I mounted it on thick rubber washers and it doesn't seem to vibrate. I would hate to have a leg break off. Hope its ok
Dane Thanks. The room I moved out of was pretty small. It doesn't take a nice shop to make nice stuff though. Oh by the way The name of that mouflon sheep is titan  ;D

Very nice Jesse.  I do all my work in a 10x12 shed, that at any given time only has about 2x6 worth of room  ;D.  So I'm jealous too lol.

Nice sheep too.  Looks like your growing your own horn bow?!?  8)
