Is that one bow? :o
-
That certainly looks promising.
-
Ya Pat it's one bow....lol. I got this stave from Mike Maguire @ Pappy's last year at the classic. It was the belly split off of the same stave, Alex (I forgot his last name) made that bow he called voodoo child... won bow of the month if I remember correctly.
Thanks George, Gordon...

Wow Ryan that does look promising. The snake in that stave is sick and then when you look at the side profile you would never know it frm the pics. Look forward to seeing the finished bow. I suppose if you skin it and lay it in the grass it will look like the real thing at first glance. Danny

It's pure sex appeal !! Makes me want to grab it and fling some cedar. Phil

Looking good ryan. I love the profile..... nice, slender, and snakey. I also like the handle/grip. Probably has a nice feel to it. Anxious to see it finished. Great Job!!!

I was wondering who finally bought that piece of wood... I was eyeballing it like crazy at the Classic last year and Ken (Mike's dad) was marketing the heck outta it, too. :) I couldn't have done it nearly as much justice as I know you have so I guess it ended up where it was supposed to. Can't wait to see the finished bow, it's looking pretty awesome so far Ryan. Good to see ya posting bows again as well. :)
-
Remarkable how it appears to be 2 different bows...
Fantastic.

:o :o :o Oh my, Been waiting to see more of your bows Ryan. Glad to see ya back to kicking out your beauties. Setting the bar high for February right out of the gates ;D Incredible snake for a recurve. Very well done.
-
glad to see one of the great tallents of wood bows back with another great piece.my jaw dropped when my eye caught that 3-rd pic.
-
Thanks Guys... :)
Planning on skinning her and adding some tip overlays still. Might be a while till I can finish her though, I was in a car accident and tore a ligament in my shoulder. So my left arm is in a sling, makes things difficult. She has had at least a hundred arrows through her already though. Pulls between 45-50 @ my draw (27") haven't actualy scaled it just guessing. It is 64" ntn. Seems to shoot quite well.
-
OOOOHH, that looks really good. Can't wait to see it finished.
-
Thanks Eddie. I also have that stick of yellow guava you gave me a few years back shooting. Just needs some finishing touches.
-
Looks good, Ryan. I love snaky staves. Jawge
-
That baby looks good! Heal fast so we can see more!
-
Look sweet Ryan. ;)
-
sweet! you know that's my kind of bow. makes me want to heat up my steamer.
-
Tore a ligament in my foot Ryan, jumping motercycles back in the seventies. It took longer to heal than the broken arm I got in the same wreck. Glad to see you posting such a fine bow, and hope you are on the mend.
-
Thanks Guys. I'll post some more pictures when she's finished. I'm off to the doctors today to see what they say about my shoulder...
