I am a scoutmaster in mid-michigan. One of the dads of one of the boys in my troop returned from a hunting trip out west and brought us an osage log about six feet long and 8-10 inches in diameter. My thank you is to Bruce Bitterman and his son Brian for coming to our troop meeting and showing the boys how to split the log into proper staves. We will end up with 12 bow staves when drying is done! What a generous act to help our scouts like that!!! Thanks!

Very cool hope to see some pics when all is dry and the bows begin to take shape, that sounds like a great time for the boys.
