this happened practicing deeper notches, broke the one ear off with the last little flake, Bub(http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt320/bubncheryl/blade011.jpg)

I did the same thing today ;)
It happens, You point looks good though ;)
-
thinkin' of calling it a single barb fish point ::)
-
I've got quite a few stemmed points because of that very thing.
-
That's what I was going to say. Would make a nice stemmed type now :).
-
might keep it this way for awhile to remind me to go slow
-
I've done that a few times myself ::) ;). What is harder is turning it into a Stemmed point. I seem to break them while trying to get rid of the other wing.
-
I say leave it. Looks cool that way. 8)

im with them. ive done it ,looks good, and leave it ;D
-
"One flake too many!" How many times have I heard that just when I show up at a knapping event?
Sorry to see the perfection marred. At least it wasn't some rare or hard to find variety of stone!
-
I have found a couple of real old ones that looked like that. It made me feel somewhat better about my knapping. Bill

I've got a pile of them. Trying to make a Rogue River point, and just about perfect, snap..... >:(
Sooo....It seems the rock wanted to be a fish arrow point. :P Ok, that is what it is, an arrow with a harpoon style point. ;) So I make a few of them now and then. I can make the Rogue River point, but it either doesn't have but one barb, or the notching is short. It's just my style...... ;D

I'd actually love to be able to trade for a set of points like that...different but still effective.
