The Phoenix Blade, was the result of a bad day of bowyering. The ERC that I was building, detonated at twenty four inches while I was trying to get a photo of it. Most of my failures get ceremonious cremation in the fire ring, with words of lament. Although there was not much left there was enough to shape a handle out of. So I knapped a blade today out of this coral. Tough stuff to be sure. Had three failures, and finally this fourth one stayed in one piece, thankfully. My thanks to Bill Skinner for providing the coral.

Thank you Bill. I hope to attend again this year with my Grandson. He has grown eleven inches since last year. Glad we don't have to shoe that horse.
Thank you Nugget, Josh, and Jamie for the compliments.
