Boy, that is whicked looking. Could also be a back scratcher. ;D Nice blade! I've never seen rhyolite that color. The NC stuff is dark gray to green.
-
thanks pat . i keep calling it rhyolite but i may be wrong. it works like mid grade rhyolite. it comes from argentinia i belive. eddie had a piece a couple years back that was from new mexico that was similar to this.

Nice piece of work Jamie, Ill expect to see a coyote jawbone knife next. ;D
-
Jamie, great lookin knife 8) A friend of mine gave me a piece of rock the same color as your blade an it had a little sticker on it that said "Jasper from Brazil" I t looks to me like some kind of ryolite all most the same texture as that pc that James Parker made the big red blade out of at the classic. Reminds me of a common red brick an man it is hard, hard. :-[ Maybe I can get a picture of it. oh my friend bought the red rock in some rock shop in Colorado. I need to man up an make something out of it ;D Bob

thank you.

Russ, yes it the same rock as what James used. It is from New Mexico.
