Here's a new set of arrows and quiver to boot. Just need to lacquer the silk wraps now. Scott

Dang that's a fine looking set. What kind of skin did you use to crest them?
-
Nice!!!
-
Dang, those are nice Scott! You certainly do nice work. ;) Do the banana fletched arrows fly straighter than the traditional delta type fletching, or have you not noticed any difference? I like the delta style, mostly for aesthetics, but I do believe that the banana fletching is more aerodynamic. But those are beautiful looking arrows, and quiver.!

Thanks Medicinewheel. You got me Wayne, I like shield cut myself. I'll let you know when I shoot em. Scott

Excellent arrowsmithing and leather work. That is a premium set, Scott!!! 8)
When I bought precut feathers I got 5 1/2" high back shields. Enough surface area to spin Stone Mountain...but pretty quiet. The times I shot bananas they seemed noisy to me. ??? Doesn't make sense looking at the shapes. But I love the look of bananas. They seem to go with the flow! 8)

Thanks Pat. I still like the looks of the shield cut though.

For some reason the bananas look more african to me. ;D

That's the style I was thinking of, I just callled them deltas, I thought the sheild was the short target type fletch. I like the fletching long and low. ;)

Very nice arrows and quiver.
At first glance I thought the fletching were bound on but I see that is some kind of spiral decoration.
What kind of leather is the quiver?

Very nice job! I've been looking for quiver ideas lately and that ranks up near the top!!
-
That's some damn fine craftsmanship. I think I would be afraid to use those arrows, for fear of losing one.

Nice ! ' Frank

Man, Scott those are pretty.
-
Thanks for the nice compliments everyone.
Thanks Nate, I just used scrap rattlesnake pieces for the cresting.
Mark, The body is 8 oz saddle skirting I believe and I think the strap and overlays are 5 oz oil tan? with a beaver fur lining around the rim.

do i see some bamboo arrows there?
they look great!
-
beautiful work !! there are bow and arrow builders ...and then there are craftsmen , with talent ! everything you've done is top notch.
-
Wow very very nice. great work
-
Thanks Aero, the ones with the shield fletch are boo and the bananas are poc.
Thanks Ken and Keenan.

Great arrows and awsome quiver. I am a big fan of qoose fletches as I get tons from geese hunting buddies. I also like the bananna cut, especially for when I am going to wrap the back end of them. Kenneth

would love to hear how you did the snake wraps those look sweet
-
Those are too pretty to just let em sit around!

Outstanding work..I`m really impressed

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments.
Andy, Piece of cake for the snake wrap. Trim your snakeskin to the length you want and leave the width a bit oversize. Soak in warm water for a bit, rub off excess water and spread some tb2 on it. Stick it on the shaft and trim with a razor. Perfect fit everytime.
