Title: Little Sticks
Post by: Lombard on December 08, 2010, 10:12:58 am
Here are a couple little sticks, rift sawn Ash, backed with fully quarter sawn Ash. They are forty eight inches long. The blue one is 18 @ 20 the brown one is 15 @ 20. The blue one is for my seven year old Granddaughter, and the other is for a little feller from up the road, who always rides in on his bicycle to see what is going on. both bows bend through the handle, which is built up with skived leather, and wrapped with hemp. Adjust the brace height, do the lettering, and these are ready for Christmas morning.

V pretty, I like the blue.
Makin' little uns can be harder than the big ones (less margin for error)
Nice

Judging from the floor tiles (which I assume are 12" sq), I think maybe your bows brace heights are a bit too high.

Two great little bows. I can see those smiling faces on Christmas morning when the kids open these packages from Santa.  That full draw pis say it all about these bows!

those bows are too cute!!! I used to be that little boy on the bicycle. great choice with the laminate ash. should be nice and tuff. I think a higher brace height is appropriate to eliminate wrist slap and improve cast on a tiny little kids bow. nice work Lombard and heres to you for teaching the children.
