It's not quit finished, but it feels like it will do the job nicely, can't wait to try it out for real, I'm using an imaginary spokeshave in the pic, carefull, it's very sharp ::).
The clamp bar will have a wooden block faced with rubber or leather on it to avoid marking the workpiece.
The legs just slot in from underneath.
Can I enter it for 'Shave Horse of the Month'? O:)

Yeah, that's exactly the situation I was in, so I made use of this cold snap to go for it, I'd also just finished 3 bows in a run.
Cheers

Looks good Del.....Been saying that for a year now :(...Man does time fly :o

Yeah! That's the ticket! Now you're thinking, " how'd I get along with out this for so long?" (BTW, yours is much nicer than mine, so when upgrade time comes around, I may, ahem, "appropriate" the finer bits of your design ;D.)

I really liike the looks of your new pony, Del. I knocked one out years ago and love it. However it has been out in the extreme weather for years and is beginning to show signs of poor care.
I'd love to make a copy of yours, it has good angles and seems to be very workable. Ever thought of drafting up plans for it?

Cool! 8) Is that an iron wood stave on it? I hope your neighbors didn't see you posing for this picture........Poor guy, he's finally lost it. ::) Look at him, pretending to be scrapping on that stave. Could be his meds needs changing....... ;D Neat idea. I like it.

impressive, to say the least.

@ JW. It sort of started with a 'plan' but once you get building it all looks different (bit like a bow :o) so it's just really the two main long bits the spine and bed as I called 'em and the seat that ended up like the plans. The other bits ended up using the offcuts. I'm not sure I could draw it, as the legs slope out and back which gives some weird angles (it's not very pretty underneath).
@ Stickbender. It's a quartered Yew log on the horse.
Got a sprinkle of snow on this morning, gotta go to work too :(
