Very nicely done, sir. The woodland 2 fletch, with the broadhead, should be really quiet in flight because of the softer feather texture (as opposed to primaries). Also the "pointed" head is not at all uncommon for a lot of woodland hunting and war arrows.

Very nice arrows. Where did you get the birch shafting?
Try laying the feathers with the shiny side against the bow with the 2fletch.  They lay flatter and make them quieter. Adding some twist helps too.

Let me just say those are some very nice arrows. I like the one with the straight tip, very nice, reminds me of the medeival broadheads even though doesnt look at all like em. I can just imagine those tipes going through chain mail when the spaniards encounter the florida Natives..

Very pretty, like the fletch wraps. i was reading a 10yr old PA article just today on "Tying Off Your Arrows" that looks identical . If you grind antler or bone be sure to wear a good dust mask, your lungs will thank you!

That dust mask goes as well for knapping also..... ;)

How does the "field tip" attach to the shaft?

Nice work!

i filed the end to  about 3/16'' in diam. (about a 1/2'' ) then drilled and glued it in  , then cut a groove  aboot 1/16'' from the end  with a file and secured it w/a wrap

Ahhh, I see.....

I was envisioning drilling a tapered hole in the antler, sawing a nock in the shaft and a corresponding tab in the antler, or all kinds of more ocmplicated and thus more likely to fail technologies.  Funny how I can take something simple and complicate it beyond all reason.  Maybe I have a future with the IRS?
