Title: Mink Oil?
Post by: hillbilly61 on November 20, 2010, 11:34:37 pm
Can Mink Oil be used to seal a bow? I bought some for my boots and the thought of being able to use it for the bows was appealing. Thought I'd ask. Didn't want to waste $ if I don't need too.

I've used it on about eight or nine bows.  I had to reapply it often, but it did alright, I guess. SnoSeal is also a leather conditioner/waterproofer that I've used to seal bows.  It does a much better job, as it doesn't rub off or dry out like oil will because it's beeswax.
