Title: splitting leg sinews. Humid vs desert climate.
Post by: loefflerchuck on November 14, 2010, 10:09:49 pm
Splitting my time between Half Moon Bay CA. and Salt Lake City for the last 10 years. I think I can finally say it is a fact. Splitting leg sinews on the California coast takes half the time and produces twice the quality compared to the Utah desert. Any body notice this? I am sure it has to do with humidity. I would like to try putting whole sinews in a humidity box for a few days in Utah to see if I can make life easier out there.

Never worked any sinew,in Half Moon Bay,but i have noticed a difference in separation qualities in different species of sinew in Nv.Moose seems to separate much easier and nicer for me than Elk,Deer or pronghorn.
