Title: good or bad?
Post by: Gonzo98 on November 14, 2010, 09:23:47 am
I found some quarter sawn hemlock at the big box store in the tri-city area. Is this a good wood to make a pyramid bow? This piece of wood was to beautiful to pass up.

well i have never used it
nor do i have any means of realy knowing
but if it wasnt to expensive,i say give it a try
after all thats the only way to truly know if it will work or not
good luck, and remember pictures, good or bad we like pictures
not to mention if you have questions as your making it,they help immensley to get the proper answer  ;)

I only know that hemlock is considered more of a soft wood and not a hard wood.

I'd say not for bows but yes for arrows.
