Title: My onondaga attempt
Post by: Outbackbob48 on November 07, 2010, 05:57:31 pm
Had a mini one day knappin at Letchworth on sat. Lots of good knappers from Newyork state an our northern neighbors from Canada. Dan Long a crew brought some good quality onondaga for us stone poor guys, It was snowing outside but nice an warm beside huge pavillion fireplace, Ken Wallace gave some demo on his style ABO knapping. I'd like to thank all that helped put this knappin on. Thanks Bob   Oh here is my attempt at some onondaga. Bob

Really nice, Bob. I've come to the conclusion that ABO man used up all the good stuff, or they were really hungry. But I still keep going back and beating on that cr,,,. ;)

You can get more leverage and drive longer flakes with a .223, but try to avoid punch flaking with it.
