Title: Re tiller
Post by: Steve Milbocker on October 29, 2010, 09:16:00 am
Just wondering about the possibility of re tillering this bow. Compared to the BL Marc made me, this bow has quite a bit of hand shock. The bow feels like it has gained a few pounds and I could easily shed 3-4 . Just wondered if reducing the sides a bit would help reduce the shock and lighten up a bit. Or should I leave well enough alone and learn from it seeing as though it is my first. Thanks in advance for your opinions...Steve

The tiller looks pretty good on that, you could reduce the outer 1/3 of the limb with and tips a little ,might help some.I wouldn't thin the limbs in that part anymore tho.  :)

Safest way is generally take a tad off the width.

Pappy, if I reduced the outer 1/3 of the limb width would that give me more of a whip tiller?
