Title: debitage points

Was digging thru my waste pile an found these three. Three nice size flakes that I adjusted a little bit,  Maybe i should check my debitage more carefully ;D Later bob

Looks like you had fun with those Bob. There are tons of points to be had in debitage piles. Good looking points...

Very nice. Wish my debitage turned out like that.

 I destroyed a toilet tank today and nothing to show for it lol.

I beat it too hard and at the wrong angle......you learn to correct that in some "hobbies" a little quicker than others I suppose.

Justin the corner notch an the long thin one are the same material. I got it from Jesse at the classic an he called it a black dover, kinda a crossbreeed between buffalo river an dover. I have had some good success with it. Darker stuff seems a little bit better than tanner stuff. Later Bob

Dude, that's just the way I do it.  I pick up flakes and make points out of them.  My friend dave gave me a bunch of flakes and I made an ugly little side notched point out of one that was novaculite.  It was ugly...but it was sharp.  A few months later I mounted it on an arrow and killed a BIG doe with it.
