Title: Question for Marc St.Louis
Post by: Klandaght on October 20, 2010, 10:07:32 pm
Marc, have you ever heat treated a belly after a backing strip was applied such sa Bamboo or hickory? Would the heat weaken a glue joint of Smooth-on epoxy?  And if so, would heat treating a belly have any negative effects on a Perry reflex ( allow it to relax)?

You can't heat-treat a composite after it is built.  You need about 350 degrees of heat on the wood when heat-treating and so far as I know there's no glue that can tolerate that
