Title: Good Morning
Post by: chasing crow on October 17, 2010, 10:28:47 pm
I was out for the first time yesterday morning. A doe (yearling) came in from the North about 30 yards out. Must have caught my scent and turned on her back trail. About 45 min later, a young 4 pointer came in from the south on the same trail. I thought it was time to rethink my blind selection. I now have a ground blind down wind about 10 yd off the trail they came in on. Still a good morning. That is more deer than all of last year!

Definitely set up downwind and I,m big on rubber boots especially while ground hunting.I snuck within 15 yards of a big doe and 2 younguns on Saturday keeping  the wind in my favor.I don,t have doe tags for that area but it was fun and good practice.good luck and have a great day.Lloyd
