Title: Painted Lady (not for bom)

i decided to build a hickory bow today inspired by some NA painted bows. this one is hickory 60inch 1 1/2 at fades , 46lb at 27inches. paint job was inspired by a modoc bow although i didnt follow it exactly ,and i added some things.hope you like it ...and no i wasnt drunk while painting

Nice.  How did you seal the bow, and did you do it before or after you painted it?  How does it shoot?  Bill

bill i ran a couple dozen through it after it was finished and a couple before it was painted .its dead on accurate . as far as the finish i painted with acrylic and then clear coated over that

Damn Ken, That thing is way nice, personally I like the design details.........is that a deer in the background stickin his tounge out?

Ken, cool bow. I have to stick with solid colors, as my hands shake to much, mine would never look that nice.

lombard if you look at musuem bows they dont really follow strict layouts just what they thought looked good
scott no noticable set , i'll do some stick figures on the next one, we're always hardest on ourselves
