My in laws sent me this clipping from the AR Democrat Gazette. Was in there on 9/12/10. you cant get to it now with out paying a fee for the archive file.
It had some really interesting info on the bodark trees.

it stated that the sage used to be all over... and that the large herbovores in the past like the mastodons would eat the 'apples' and spread them and that the range of the sage used to be much greater.
Other interesting info on our favorite tree as well.

i wonder if im close to this "Sanders Site". sounds nifty!
im wondering.. is there any difference in the wood between a male and female tree? my boss has a bunch on his land. two drop tons of apples every year, hes been talking of cutting them down! big trees too. anyone know any difference?
