heres a bow i made for my brother its 44 inches made out of a maple board and its backed with red oak veneer pulls safely to 25 inces but i measured the draw at only 20 inches and it was 40 pounds i heat treated deflex in the handle before i started it held about 3 inches then i flipped the tips a tad , shoots an arrow very quick

WHen you say you heat treated in deflex, do you mean actual deflex (towards shooter) or reflex (away from shooter)? Either way, nice looking shorty :)

Is that a cutaway for the arrow rest above the grip? If it is I'd be careful of that spot.I love short bows . You are definately hookes like the rest of us. looks good.

Good job, but I need more, too. Especially a draw pic and a front pic.
Is it just me, or is the short bow making a 'comeback' in popularity? ::)

I heated and bent the bow towards me (deflex) in the center and then flipped the tips and it is a carved in arrow rest only about quarter inch though and then there is leather built up to add to it under the handle
