hey guys i have a few broken bows well two maple ones with recurved tips that i made oh a long time ago each one has a limb broken and each one has a good limb if i were to take both good limbs saw them off at maybe 22 inches 26 inchs im not sure but anyways then bolt them onto a recurve riser would i be able to get a recurve bow from it basically just replacing the recurve bows limbs with old broken bows limbs would this work ive never seen it done

I believe splicing two good limbs together at the handle would be a better option. Or possible make a take down with a sleeve at the handle. You can make a take down sleeve with a 4" length 1 1/4" rigid electrical conduit. You can get the conduit from any electrician. They have scraps of this stuff that they should give you.
