Since the heat broke a little, I was able to get out and use some tools and get this one started. 1/4 sawn Hickory. It's a Holemgaard design. 64" n2n 2" at the fades, 1" at the handle and 3/8" at the tips. 23" at the transition on the limbs from 1" to 1/2"... On the long string I have 40# with 5" string movement. Looking to get 50# @ 27" Oh yea...The tips are IPE

Hillbilly, its a little hard to tell for sure based on this pic. The left limb is bending slightly more than the right about 8-10" from the center. Is the bow sitting perfectly level on the tillering stick (or could be be slightly angled toward the left side)? Guess you need another opinion or two.

It's really hard to tell at this point. Ge it bending some more and re-post some more pics. Being it's a Holmie, I'd get it moving near the fades. ;D

Think if I asked my wife for a "good camera" for Christmas, she would give it early? ;D I'll try to get some better pics tomarrow. I thought I needed to get allot more bending out of the fades, but didn't want to get carried away before asking the experts for advice

also shorten up your long string. When long string tillering use a string that just barely goes on both nocks without bracing the bow. Using too long of a tillering string will give you a false sense of tiller and a false sense of the weight too. Good luck on that Holmie, homey! ;D I really look forward to seeing this one come out nice. :)

Actually, for these kinds of bows you are right where ya should be (early stages). Sent some tips by PM and if ya like call if I aint too clear.....glad to help with the rest of the tiller if ya want.

Josh...TY I look forward to getting one completly too ;D The last 2 ended up in the wood pile for kindling :( But I did learn a few things from them ;) but jaust aint been able to get out with this heat >:(

I go for 5 # over target weight at 10 in of string movement using a long string that's about 1.5 times bow length. Your stave looks good. May be get a bit more movement mid limb on. Jawge

your Möllegabet-Shoulder is very short so you got lots of limb to bend. As the others said before - brace the beast at a short height and show again ;-)

I've never made a Molle before but I've stared at a bunch of them :D, so take my advice lightly. It seems for that type of bow that you could get the inner limbs working more.

i agree with ntd inner limb looks like it needs to catch up with the area just before the stiff limb portion. careful of that area right before the stiff tip fades or you may hinge it.

Don't know. Was waiting to see if the tiller was better...lol I took allot off. Especially in the fade area. I'll go out and shoot then let ya know ;)

its lookin better. if its close to your desired weight take it out and shoot it and then tweak final tiller after youve put some arrows out from it.

Shoots fast and flat. Straighter with one end up better than the other. Where does it need to be tweaked? I have such a hard time seeing it after it gets close :(

I would say that if it needs anything...it would be a little more off of the left Limb...but if it were mine...I would say Good...and shoot the Piss out of It....JMO

if it shoots better with one limb up make that one the top limb, tiller can sometimes change overtime so being able to flip a bow over and shoot is sometimes a good thing. if it shoots good thats what is important, so long as youre happy with it.
