Hey everyone I want to collect some natural shafts I have mulefat all around me. What is the best size to look for? Thanks in advance guys ;D

I have heard of mulefat but can't remember the other common name. Is it salt cedar? If so it makes very good, heavy and strong arrows. With most shoot material you can start out cutting shoots that are 3/8 at the base. An open end 3/8" wrench makes a good gauge. ;)

cool so it doesnt matter for the skinny ends diameter as long as the bottom is 3/8?

That depends on the amount of taper. For most of what I use the 3/8" rule applies. Generally you want the nock end(cured and skinned) to be about 5/16".

Thanks :)
