Title: Rawhide backing
Post by: HoBow on June 26, 2010, 06:13:18 pm
Can you stain rawhide the same way you would a bamboo backing with leather dye?  What other ways does everyone decorate rawhide (or camo it)?  Thanks for the help!

You can dye it before glue up, add stain or dye over it after glue up or use craft paints to decorate the back. Of course you and cover with snake or fish skins, decorative silk or decorative tissue paper.

Don't go swelling his head up Phillip.  I'm betting it still hasn't gone down since all that deserved praise for the birds eye bow... >:D ;D
