Title: burlap for backing a red oak board bow???

im in the process of makeing my first bow ,its a red oak board bow ,i have the limbs tapered down ,and fixing to rough up the belly .and glue on the handle
i heard burlap bag is ok ,just cut a couple of strips and glue with tight bond.would this be ok.i need to back it before i put it on the tillering tree.
