That's right Del,
I use it as a stabilising device.
I adjust the level of water as one would weights on a long rod.

Wow!!!

thats a nice bow, those composites are really cool and i would like to make one but havent any idea how. are there any build alongs on here?
-
That's flat out sweet. Those things look like they'd be a blast to shoot.

Man that bow is sweet! Full draw looks fantastic! :)

Looks SUPER !!!! How does it shoot ???

Thanks for the feedback.
For the poundage the bow's fast (especially with light arrows). Like most short composite bows it has a high string frequency or dry fire speed, meaning the string really 'twangs when plucked'. The down side with such short bows is they lack the stability of their longer counterparts, so any errors in shooting form are exaggerated.
I can't shoot this as accurately as my ELBs. Pound for pound it's definately faster though.
I'm photographing the stages of another build and will post a build along when complete in a couple of months.

Beautful work, Barney. Looking forward to your build along.
I'm building all wood Asian composites; haven't gotten up the nerve to mess with horn yet. I can't find a supplier of ready-to-use flattened horn slats; the aroma of sanding horns into slats would cost me my living space!
