Title: Fathers day knife
Post by: J. DEMPLER on June 15, 2010, 10:24:55 pm
Here is one I just finished today for my dad.
The blade is cable damascus , the handle is buckeye burl, with mosaic pins and stainless guard.

That's a beautiful piece!  The burl is amazing and I love the detail around the lanyard hole...  The blade is an interesting shape/design too.  Is that a particular style or one that just worked out that way?

Thanks everybody. I gave it to my dad and he loved it.
He has not been doing to good health wise. I am thankful for every day he is still with us.

HatchA, it actually turned out like I wanted it to. I like to sketch out a design befor I even start. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The detail around the lanyard hole is all file work. I will try to get a better picture of it.
