Title: "Use what you got" knife

I hate to waste purty wood, so I salvaged the handle off one of my failed "furniture bows" and shaped it into a handle for this recent obsidian blade I knapped.  The handle is locust over black walnut with accent stripes of maple and blood wood.  Epoxied in the blade.  What do you think?

Cool knife Dan!  Nice salvage on the handle it looks great!  I really like the display stand too.   :)

looks cool bet it would look cooler in a set though.
do you mind me asking where did you obsidian for the blade.

Dang that's purty! And I got a couple of those riser sections salvaged the same way too!
I'm gonna have to knap a blade or two....if I can find a big enough piece to work! hmmmm. maybe dark glass!

I got a right handed take down cheapo and a hawkeye lefthanded that need a limb each ,thats a possibility there lol, nice knife I should have said 1st.
