I took pictures as i remade my propane forge. I know it is not primitive or anything but it is what I use( gave up coal years ago), but if there is any one interested i will post the pictures and do a how to build. If not there is not need to waste bandwith here on the forums.
God Bless

You mean a propane forge that could be modified to heat treat rock? Why would anyone want such a thing. ;)

I am fairly new on PA. I am currently working on getting all the parts to make a propane forge and I would love to see pictures and a build along!

I wouldn't mind seeing that.

I wanna see this.
I've had thoughts about a coal forge. I filled up a charcoal starter 3/4 way up and after all the charcoal got hot the starter looked like a turbine. I put the metal grate on top of it to cook a personal burger and after a little while the metal grate started to turn cherry red and started to sag so I pulled it off...that is what started my thinking.
How hot does a forge need to get?
