nice! love the finish and the simple handle

Beautiful bow and pictures my friend! :)

I'm a fan of your work! Loved the one that was the cover photo over at PP a while back, too. Love the thin tips and the taper. I'm curious how you're confident to cut the nocks through the back. Is it because of the stiffness of the tips that you get away with it? And may I ask how wide the bow is at the handle? Kudos to you!

Beautiful color! Nice finish I like it A lot!

That's a great little bow! I really like it.Good job. God Bless
-
Very nice! That is a beautiful finish. The red looks almost like cocobolo.
-
Thank you very much!
@zenmonkeyman
You are right, cutting the nocks through the back is only possible because of the stiffness of the tips.
The bow is about 1.4 inches wide at the handle and about 0.3 inches at the tips.

Great bow. Especialy I like the limb tips. I bet the mass reduction in those tips helps a lot with handshock reduction.
-
Cant see the pics :(
-
Beautiful bow!! You covered all the basics in building a whitewood bow,wide, thin, narrow tips. I'll bet it shoots as good as it looks. Excellent craftsmanship.
-
Great pictures especially the full draw. Bookmarked for May Self Bow of the Month fun, too!
-
goog looking bow!!!
-
Thank you all!
@medwheel
I am eager to see you new hazelnutbow and what drawweight you chose.

Fine looking bow there. Nice series of photos too.

Very nice bow (Yep, the pics are good too, I have trouble getting good bow pics). There is a lot of hazel where I live , I've been thinking to try it, would it take a 50-60lb bow ? what do you think? is it as hard as ash??, Thanks,
-
Thanks!
I think 50 to 60 pounds are possible, if you build the bow long and wide enough.
Hazelnut in my region is not as hard as ash, but it takes less stringfollow and doesn't get bellycracks as easy as ash.
