i posted some pics of this a while back, but i dont think ive got any pics up sence i got it finished. it aint much, its ugly and simple, but im happy with it. i think it draws around 40 pounds, about 66 inches long. its kinda slughish, but i like it. after all, it killed a possum. lol.

lol I notice there's no unbraced pics. How much set did it take?
My first bow was red oak and took about 4" of set. I hate taking unbraced pictures of it because it's embarrassing lol. Funny thing is that I've never made a bow as ugly as my first, but I've made a lot of them that don't shoot as well.

didnt think anyone would notice that. ::) yup. about 3 or four inches. this humidity dont help oak or hickory much either.

Still an awesome bow, tiller looks great! :)

i really dont think there are any ugly all wood bows. they are all things of beauty. crafted by hand intended to be used by hand to provide.
what kind of design is it? pyramid? or did you start mid limb and taper to the tips?

Looks good, nice tiller !

Good ol' red oak. It makes for great bows such as yours. Bookmarked for May Self BOM, too.
